The Challenge

Vienna Bakery is one of Jersey’s traditional craft bakeries. Founded in 1960, Vienna Bakery prides itself on its artisanal heritage and traditional baking methods.

Vienna Bakery wanted to communicate the value of handmade, traditional and freshly baked produce. But, with a busy bakery to run they could not dedicate the time necessary to spreading their message.

The cost of freshly baked produce is higher than mass-produced baked goods. Vienna Bakery wanted to reinforce the benefits of artisanal baking and how the benefits of eating good food outweighs the added cost.

The DI challenge was to translate Vienna Bakery’s philosophy into a consistent and coherent message.

The Solution

We provide ongoing support to co-manage the Vienna Bakery Facebook page and identify appropriate media opportunities. A warm environment on social media has been created that shares images and stories of the high-quality traditional produce Vienna Bakery makes.

Taking time to go to the bakery to film the artisanal bakers at work is a priority.  Creating short videos that show the handmade craftsmanship from start to finish helps followers understand the expertise, care and time that goes into creating Vienna Bakery produce.

The Result

A core Facebook following that actively engage with the page and new people liking the page on a regular basis.

Regular interaction with customers, the parish of St Helier, interested parties and supporters.

Co-ordinating media opportunities with social media exposure to get more interaction on the Vienna Bakery Facebook Page and spread the Vienna Bakery philosophy further.
